NYA Legion Park
Located on the corner of
Park Place and S. Reform St.
Legion Park includes a large playground, buildings that can be used for picnics or larger events, and the NYA City Pool. Lion’s Park is the location of many summer events, including Music in the Park, Lion’s Corn Feed and more! The large outdoor pool at the park charges a low daily rate and features diving boards, kiddie pool, concessions, on-duty lifeguards and more. Swimming lessons are available through District #108 Community Eduction in the summer.
Norwood Sports Complex

The Norwood Sports Complex is a recently updated facility that includes a baseball field that is home to the Norwood Indians, one of two town-team baseball teams in Norwood Young America. The Sports Complex also features two softball fields, kids playground, Lions Community Shelter – which is available to rent from City Hall for gatherings up to 50 people.
Friendship Park

Another one of the many parks Norwood Young America has to offer! This park features two softball fields, concession stand, kids playground, picnic areas and shelters, tennis courts and more! This huge park also features a small brook running through it with scenic bridges crossing over it. Pack a picnic . . . and enjoy the view!
Willkommen Memorial Park
Located on the corner of
Main Street E & Central Avenue S.
This historic park is home to Stiftungsfest – Minnesota’s Oldest Celebration. This park has been designed to look like an old German town. Every year, thousands of people attend the three-day Stiftungsfest celebration. The park is also home to the historic NYA Pavilion which is available to rent for weddings, reunions and more. Throughout the summer, Willkommen Memorial Park is also home to the Young America Cardinals baseball team – one of two town team baseball teams in NYA.

Baylor Regional Park is situation on Eagle Lake, just north of Norwood Young America. The park offers 50 camping sites, of which 35 of those sites have water and electrical hookups. Other facilities include: picnic areas, showers, swimming beach, beach house, reservable picnic shelters, ball field, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, group camping area and horseshoe pits. The park is also home to the area’s only 18-hole disc golf course!

Carver County operates the parks of Baylor Regional Park, Lake Minnewashta Regional Park and Lake Waconia Regional Park. Each park is a natural resource based recreation area situated on the lakes of Eagle, Minnewashta and Waconia, respectively. Within there parks, you will find swimming beaches, picnic facilities, forests, prairies, trails, playgrounds, boat accesses, campgrounds and more! Each park provides different opportunities and experiences.

The Norwood Young America location of the Carver County Library system features a variety of books, movies, music, internet access and more. They also offer a variety of programs including Men’s Book Club, Family Story Time, Teen Book Club, Computer Classes and more! The library is located at the Oak Grove Center which is also shared with City Hall.
NYA Area Lakes

The Norwood Young America area is home to MANY lakes that are great for year-round fishing. These include Eagle Lake, Hydes Lake, Rice Lake, Barnes Lake, Tiger Lake, Brand Lake, Lake Patterson and more! In addition to those, Lake Waconia – the 2nd largest metro-area lake – is just a few short miles to the east.

Hamburg Bicentennial Park: Hamburg’s largest park, the Hamburg Bicentennial Park offers a number of amenities. It includes two baseball/softball fields with spectator bleachers, a basketball court, restroom facilities, a playground, swing sets, a picnic area with a shelter, a veteran’s memorial site, and walking paths. A staple of the Hamburg community, many community events are hosted at this location, and it is a popular destination on sunny summer afternoons.
