The firm was founded in December of 1939 by Edward J. Gavin, who practiced with the firm until his
retirement in June of 1981. The office was located in the former First National Bank Building at the corner of 11th Street and Greeley Avenue in Glencoe until 1970 when they moved to the present location at 1017 Hennepin Avenue in Glencoe, Minnesota.
